Microcrystalline Wax

Microcrystalline Wax is a high-quality, refined petroleum-based wax with a fine crystalline structure, commonly used in cosmetic formulations. Known for its flexibility, adhesive properties, and ability to blend with other waxes and oils, this wax provides enhanced texture, stability, and moisture-locking properties to skincare and personal care products. It is odorless, white to off-white in colour, and designed to meet cosmetic-grade standards for safe use on the skin.

1. As a thickening and binding agent in balms, ointments, and salves
2. Improves the consistency and stability of lipsticks and lip balms
3. Forms protective barriers in moisturising creams and lotions
4. Adds shine and structure to hair styling products like pomades
5. Used in depilatory wax formulations for smooth application and easy removal

How to Use

• Weigh the required amount of Microcrystalline Wax according to your formulation.
• Melt it gently in a double boiler until fully liquefied (typically around 60–90 °C).
• Blend with oils, butters, or other ingredients while warm.
• Stir until a uniform mixture is achieved, then pour into moulds or containers to cool.
• Always perform a patch test before full application.
